General Company Information

  1. What services does your marine company provide?

    We provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, paint, carpentry, and fiberglass service. We also provide classes on seamanship, ship handling, and docking.

  2. Where are your service locations or ports of operation?

    We are a mobile company with a warehouse for working inside in Savannah

  3. Do you serve both commercial and recreational vessels?

    Yes, we are equipped and our techs carry TWIC cards for port access

  4. How long has your company been in the marine services industry?

    We started in 2006 in Newport Rhode Island and relocated to Savannah Georgia in 2019. In Savannah we have worked with almost all local marine companies including commercial vessels and shipyards

  5. Do you offer captains and deliveries.

    Our lead captain worked in the sail training industry from 1998 to 2019. James has a 500-Ton United States USCG license and 3000GT international license

  6. Are the photos all yours?

    Yes, there is a story behind each one

Maintenance & Repairs

  1. What types of vessels do you service (boats, yachts, commercial ships)?

    We service all makes and models of vessels. However we do not have certified outboard tech or offer outboard service at this time

  2. Do you offer emergency or on-site repairs?

    Yes, we can do on site repairs. However, if you are in a marina or shipyard they may have an uncharge on service.

  3. What is the typical turnaround time for repairs?

    Typical completion time varies by project, but starting times will be within 2 weeks if we accept your job.

  4. Can you handle complete engine overhauls or just minor maintenance?

    We can not handle complete engine overhauls, as we can not haul your vessel out and create crane access. We can do everything up to that point.

  5. Do you provide scheduled maintenance plans?

    All work is scheduled. Failure to meet schedules will be charged for the travel time for techs.

Marine Equipment & Parts

  1. Do you supply genuine OEM parts or aftermarket parts as well?

    We will work with you and can offer both and share our recommendations

  2. Can you source hard-to-find marine parts?

    Yes, in fact we are probably one of the best

  3. Do you offer installation for new equipment or upgrades?

    We offer installation for almost anything on your boat. Size and weight are our major factors. Engine harnesses and Nema lines are not offered at this time

  4. Is there a warranty on the parts and equipment you install?

    We offer a 3 month warranty on workmanship. If items are purchased through Eastern Vessels warranties will be offered

  5. How do I know which equipment is right for my vessel?

    We will not install anything that will hinder your vessel. If it is right for your vessel is your decision

Pricing & Payments

  1. How are your services priced (hourly, flat rate, by project)?

    We are hourly, we do provide estimates, and will meet these estimates within 15%

  2. Do you provide free estimates or inspections before starting work?

    Within the greater Savannah area we do offer free estimates. Outside areas will be charged for travel time and distance accordingly

  3. What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept cash, checks with no fee. Checks and E-Pay are subject to service fees charged by those institutions

  4. Are financing options available for major repairs or upgrades?

    For customers in good standing we do offer financing

  5. Do you offer discounts for fleet services or repeat customers?

    We do offer discounts on bulk time for service to your boat. Full days are legible for day rates vs hourly service

  1. Do your services comply with local and international maritime regulations?

    Our procedures follow United States Code of Federal Regulations and

  2. Can you help with vessel surveys or inspections required by authorities?

    We are not a survey company but have close relationships with many in the area

  3. Do you provide documentation or certification after repairs?

    We provide documentation for maintenance and service all documented in detail on invoices

  2. What is your policy for after-hours or weekend service calls?

    We will take the calls if we are available. Boats don’t work 9-5 and we will make ourselves available to you
